This park was established in 1944 when the local authority purchased the Elmdon Hall subsequently the Hall was demolished in 1956.
The Park is described as being unique amongst Solihull's Parks, in that it is located on and around a hill of approximately 120m AOD, thus providing fine views across the surrounding landscape. It covers 11 acres taking in the nature trail with lakes. These lakes certainly enjoyed by the locals taking their pets for a walk and feeding the variety of wildlife. These lakes inspired me to paint the view, have you spotted the ducks.
Come here with your family with a picnic, there is plenty to offer, children's play ground, football & tennis pitches.
On my visit we started off at the old St Nicolas's Church, the old walled garden across the open grass lands down the hill towards the lakes.
The park can be access by foot off Lode Lane by the Land Rover factory or you can park by the Church.
