Centenary Square, Library of Birmingham and Baskerville House
The site was originally occupied by the home of John Baskerville. Formerly offices for parts of Birmingham City Council, including the Planning Department and Economic Development Department, where my husband use to work. The Grade II listed building. remained vacant for several years after the City Council vacated the property in the spring of 1998.
The building is now become an office block after major refurbishment with floor space increase above the original roof height and has won several awards for redevelopment of the building.
Our sweethearts are out and about around the city heading towards Brindley Place for a romantic walk along Gas Street Canal Basin, now I wonder which pub they will end up at. I think she is planning something special for him… Tonight, he will be taken aback with her taking stage…
