This Irish pub is found in the Irish centre is hop skip and jump from Moor Street Station, this Victoria pub, has escaped mass renovation, thus retaining many original features, including etched mirrors of local breweries and it authentic looking bar. It’s a busy bar so you may be put off entering it but once inside you soon find out it is worth coming into for it highly recommended food, and if you lucky to find its regular customer playing traditional Irish music you soon be entertained but if that’s not to your taste and you have to be mad not to enjoy the environment why not explore the rear as you soon find out this is a music venue for live bands.
Now on this wet day our sweethearts are so much looking forward to coming here, once inside you find yourselves in an inviting surrounding it’s like being transported to a bygone age. It’s a busy pub as long they have reserved a table for two.
Our Lady is so glad to be getting out of the wind and rain into a warm but busy pub. Meal for two fit for a romantic night out, feels like home cooked meal if you are prepared to wait for freshly cooked meal.
Perfect location before heading for to the next venue for live music in Digbeth and yet if they stayed that bit longer they would have seen the band coming out from the back room and may have joined them for a drink or two before leaving. What a shame they missed out on that.
