St Alphege Church is located in the very heart of Solihull
The church has stood at the end of the High Street for over eight hundred years. It is one of the landmarks of the town and is an enduring witness to the Christian faith. The building is a fine medieval Grade I listed church.
The tall War Memorial originally unveiled on 21st June 1921 by the Earl of Craven; the war memorial was moved a few meters in 1994 to allow for safer viewing and also restored in 2009. It now includes the First and Second World War records as well as the Korean War.
You can see how I have captured the view with our sweet hearts looking towards the church, what are they’re thinking about?
