Originally opened in 1909 by the Great Western Railway as a terminus for local trains, today it takes us all the way to the big smoke.
I love the architecture of this old station and how in 2002, the original station was restored and expanded in 1930s style. I hope you agree they’re did a great job and it worthy just to visit the station just to look how well they have kept the original building and kept within the style. So, easy it is for modern architects to rip down and replace with glass buildings. Great delight to see it now and it’s become the second busiest station in Birmingham.
Our sweethearts have been out for the day and somehow, he has managed to get her to agree to go shopping with him, and what’s this you hear a bloke nagging a girl to go shopping…. Now that’s a surprise, bet its boys toys. There was a condition mind you he promised to take her for a meal afterwards. After walking around in the rain all afternoon, I think both will be ready to head back home.
